Mrs. Jinks, [SIC] and Mrs. Druce and family and Mr. and Mrs. Hy Druce and son landed in New York on the 16th of Sept 1846 they came on the packet ship Montezuma, Captain Lowber making New York from Liverpool in 31 days. The first mate and a seaman was washed over board, the seaman, was picked up by means of the ships company, and it was stated afterwards that the first mate, Mr. Whitman, was picked up by a packet ship bound for France. . . .
