Off Queenstown, on board the S. S. Wyoming, June 9, 1889.President George Teasdale.
Dear Brother,--We are pleased to report to you this morning that all is well with us. We have organized the company into six districts, two elders presiding over each, and two have been appointed to call the people together for morning and evening prayer. Instructions were given last evening in regard to the Saints' duties toward God and to one another, and reminded them of the good and valuable instructions given by you. We are happy to state that a very good spirit and happy feeling exists among the Saints and brethren.
We are having a nice sea breeze from the north. There is nothing further of consequence to report; but we feel thankful for your good counsel, and will endeavor to live up to the same in order that we may enjoy the blessings promised to us upon our journey homeward. With kindest regards we remain your brethren in the gospel of Jesus Christ,
L. [Lars] S. Anderson, president,Emil Maeser, secretary. [p.381]
