"EMIGRATION. -- The steamship Wyoming left Liverpool on the 13th instant, as announced, having the first company of Saints aboard, numbering some 186 souls, this included returning elders, D. K. Udall, (who was appointed in charge of the company) and A. Galloway, and William Stokes, who were appointed as his assistants; there was as well several returning visitors, including Brother and Sister Whitehead of Ogden; Sister Thorne and Brother Maddison, of Salt Lake City; also brothers Steele, Tracy, Proctor, and Sister H. Cropton, of American Fork, Utah; on the point of starting everyone seemed in good sprits, anticipating a pleasant voyage, and trip by rail to the association of friends and relatives in the valleys of the mountains. May the blessing of our Father surround them with propitious conditions, give them peace and patience, and extend to them his spirit on their arrival in Utah, that they may devote themselves to the building of his kingdom and Zion on the earth."
