"DEPARTURE. -- The good S. S. 'Wyoming,' Guion Line, sailed from this port on the 15th instant, at 11:10 a.m., having on board 300 souls of the Saints -- namely, 14 returning missionaries; English passengers, 85 adults, 18 children and 15 infants; Scandinavian passengers, 104 adults, 34 children and 30 infants. Fifty-three of the company are booked to New York only for the time being.
The company left us in very good spirits and in the enjoyment of good health. We fervently pray for their prosperity -- a pleasant voyage and a safe journey over the plains to Utah.
RETURNING MISSIONARIES. -- President Joseph F. Smith, and Elders B. H. Watts, F. M. Lyman, R. V. Morris, A. McFarland, John Squires, P. O. Hansen and Evan Forgensen, sailed on the 'Wyoming' on the 15th instant. They left us full of blessings, having enjoyed their mission to their complete satisfaction. A good work has been accomplished by these brethren -- they were indeed efficient laborers in the vineyard, and God has wonderfully prospered them.
Elders W. L. Watkins, John Wardrobe, senior, John Robinson, senior, William McKay, W. C. Parker and Daniel Jones, also took their departure on the same vessel, feeling well. These brethren have been on a visit to this country, but they have been preaching the gospel and have done much good while in the mission.
Elder John H. Burrows having been laboring in the Liverpool office for more than three years, faithfully discharging his duties, left on the same ship, happy in the privilege of going to Zion."

". . . The second and last company of the year's emigration of Scandinavian Saints, consisting of 168 souls (of whom the majority were Danes), sailed from Copenhagen, September 10, 1875, per steamer 'Hero,' accompanied by two returning missionaries, namely: Peter O. Hansen and Evan Torgesen. President Nils C. Flygare accompanied them to England, where the emigrants arrived at the port of Hull on the 13th, and, taking train from there, arrived in Liverpool in the morning of the 14th. The same day the emigrants embarked on the steamship 'Wyoming,' together with 118 English Saints and six returning missionaries. The 'Wyoming' sailed from Liverpool on the 15th of September. Elder Richard V. Morris was appointed leader of the company, assisted by the other returning missionaries. President Joseph F. Smith, who had been succeeded as president of the European Mission by Elder Albert Carrington, also returned home with this company, which arrived in New York Sept. 27th, and in Ogden and Salt Lake City on Oct. 5th. . . .
