"SAILED. -- A company of Saints, numbering altogether 142 souls, sailed from Liverpool per Guion S. S. Wisconsin, Oct 5, 1889, bound for New York en route to Utah. Of this number 12 were Bohemians, and they are, it is believed, the first Saints who have emigrated from Bohemia; 13 were Hollanders, and 104 English. Nine returning missionaries are included, also four homeward bound visitors as follows: Mr. Joseph Barker
, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wrathall, and Miss. Emma Gill. Elder Edward Bennett was appointed president of the company. We trust the blessings of the Lord may be with the good ship Wisconsin, preserving it, and all on board, from the dangers of the deep."
