On board S. S.Wisconsin, Queenstown, Oct. 21, 1888.President George Teasdale:
Dear Brother,--After leaving Liverpool yesterday morning we organized our company, and appointed some of the brethren to take charge of the wards, &c.
The elders met and dedicated the ship, with the Saints aboard, to the Lord, and prayed that he would protect us on our journey and allow us to go in safety to the land of Zion.
The sea has been smooth; we have had no sickness to speak of.
The Saints are in the best of spirits, and all appear determined to make the voyage a pleasant one.
The officers and crew are very kind and obliging, sparing no means to make us comfortable.
All join in sending regards to yourself and fellow-laborers at "42." [42 Islington WAS THE ADDRESS OF THE BRITISH MISSION IN LIVERPOOL] Ever praying the Lord to protect and guide you - We remain your brethren in the cause of truth,
