The following from Elders N. [Nathaniel] M. Hodges and W. [William] D. Williams, was written on board the S. S. Wisconsin, off Queenstown, Sunday, May 17th, at 8:30 a.m.:
"Up to the present we have had very smooth sailing and very little seasickness. Good feelings prevail generally among the Saints, and the officers and crew are very kind and courteous.
Brother [Joseph] Spendlove is doing as well as can be expected. [p.333]
