“Saturday, Apr. 29 . . . Releases and Departures – The following named missionaries have been honorably released and sailed for home April 29th, 1911, per s.s. ‘Celtic’: From Great Britain - -James A Layton. From Switzerland and Germany - -A R Homer. Elder D Ray Shurtliff, who has been honorably released from his labors in the Liverpool office, accompanied by his wife, sailed for home April 29th, 1911, per s.s. ‘Lusitania’ (Mill.Star, 73:284).” [BMMH,1911].
