“A company of emigrating Saints, numbering 41 souls, left Copenhagen, April 21, [1898], emigrating to Utah. They were accompanied by six returning Elders, viz., Peter Christensen of Emery, August E. Rose of Richville, Peter Olsen and Enoch Jorgensen of Ephraim, Andrew Anthon Peterson of Salt Lake City and Niels Iversen of Bear River City, Utah. In Scotland, they were joined by four other returning Elders and four Scotch emigrants. They crossed the Atlantic in the steamship “Furnesia,” which sailed from Glasgow, Scotland, April 20th, and arrived in New York after a somewhat stormy voyage.” [HSM, 365-366]
