“The following Elders, who had labored in Scandinavia, left Copenhagen July 29, [1897], to return to their homes in Utah: Nephi Anderson of Vernon, Utah, Nephi P. Anderson of Brigham City, Lars Wm. Hendrikson of South Cottonwood, Andrew H. Larson of Washington and James F. Fjeldsted of Gunnison, Utah. These Elders crossed the Atlantic in the steamship “Furnesia,” together with returning missionaries and emigrating Saints (51 persons) who sailed from Glasgow, Scotland.” [HSM, 360]
“Thursday, August 5. . . . On this day (Aug. 5) the steamship ‘Furnesia’ sailed from
Glasgow, Scotland, with 41 emigrating Saints (36 from Scandinavia and 5 from Great Britain) and 8 returning Elders on board, bound for Zion. The returning Elders were Nephi H.
