“Thursday, April 23. . . . The steamship ‘Circassia’ sailed from Glasgow, Scotland, with 35 Saints on board, bound for Utah. The company consisted of 29 emigrating Saints (5 from the British, 23 from the Swiss and German and 1 from the Netherlands Mission) and 6 returning Elders, namely J [BLANK SPACE] B. McMaster, Alma W. [U.] Huish, Henry Hasler, John B. Schiess, John K. Scheiss and Oscar Wilkins. (Orig. Doc.)” [BMMH, 1896].
