“Saturday, June 30. The ship ‘New York’ sailed from Southampton, England, with 36 Saints on board, bound for Utah. The company consisted of 30 emigrating Saints (12 from the British and 18 from the Swiss and German Mission) and 6 returning Elders, namely Gottlieb Dubach, Julius Billeter, Jr. Arnold Hirschi, Conrad Magg, Jules M. Giauque and Clarence C. Cressall. (Orig. Doc.)” [BMMH, 1894].
