“On Friday, Oct. 6th [1893], Elders James Nielsen, jun., Christian Hansen and John Anderson left Copenhagen, returning to their homes in Utah, accompanied by 35 emigrating Saints. About the same time, Adolph M. Nielsen, John A. Anderson and Andrew M. Israelsen, who had labored as missionaries in Norway, left Christiania for their homes in Utah. They joined the Copenhagen company in England.” [HSM, 333]
“Saturday, October 14. The ship ‘Alaska’ sailed from Liverpool with 94 Saints on board,
bound for Utah. The company consisted of 31 emigrants for the British, 35 for the Scandinavian and 9 from the Netherlands Mission), 3 returning visitors and 16 Elders returning from missions, namely, James Neilson, Jr., Christian Hansen, John Anderson, John A. Anderson, Andrew M. Israelson, Adolph M. Nielsen, Ira Williams, Alfred C. Thorne, Charles F. Longson, Henry Boyes [Boyce], Samuel Weston, Charles F. Harris, Henry Harker, John L. Jacobs, John M.
